After Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River, he was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be with God, his Heavenly Parents, (JST Matthew 4:1). Here he received detailed knowledge about his divine nature and his foreordained mission. After 40 days, Satan tested the Savior's divine identity by asking the Savior to worship him. Jesus said unto him, "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." After Satan left, angels ministered unto Him (Matthew 4:10-11).
As we commune with God in quiet, desolate places we realize our divine nature.
